Personal Injury Protection Limit

Personal Injury Protection, or PIP, is a lot like it sounds, it can pay for your medical bills if you are injured in an accident, regardless of who is at fault.
If you choose Full PIP, it can pay for medical bills for you or your passengers (including your household members) if injured in an accident.
If you choose Guest PIP, you waive PIP coverage for yourself and any other household members. Guest PIP can pay for medical bills of passengers in your car. In other words, only passengers in your car, who are not also members of your household, are covered under your Guest PIP coverage.

Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist Bodily Injury Limits

Uninsured Motorist Bodily Injury coverage can be used toward your medical bill(s) if you are hit by a driver who doesn’t have any or enough car insurance. It kicks in when the uninsured or underinsured driver who hit you is at-fault for the accident. Your UM “limits” are the most that Noblr will pay per person and per occurrence when this coverage is applied.
If you choose Standard coverage you can get up to your selected limits. A portion of your total recovery may be paid by the at fault party’s coverage.
If you choose Enhanced you have the same coverage as the Standard coverage, and you may also recover an additional amount based on the at fault party’s coverage.

Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist Property Damage Limit

Uninsured Motorist Property Damage can pay for damage to your car when it’s caused by another driver who doesn’t have any or enough car insurance. If this coverage kicks in, you’ll pay a $250 deductible towards repairs, and Noblr will pay the remaining costs up to your selected limit.
If you choose Standard coverage you can get up to your selected limit. A portion of your total recovery may be paid by the at fault party’s coverage.
If you choose Enhanced you have the same coverage as the Standard coverage, and you may also recover an additional amount based on the at fault party’s coverage.

Comprehensive Coverage

Comprehensive coverage (a.k.a. “Comp”) pays for repairs to your car if it gets damaged just sitting there. For example, theft, vandalism, hail, fire, or falling objects like tree limbs. Wear and tear to your car is also not covered (such as repair for things like mechanical failure, breakdowns, freezing, or road damage to your tires).
Your “deductible” is the amount you have to pay towards repairs when coverage kicks in. Let’s say you have a $500 deductible. If your car collides with a tree and the repairs cost $3,000, then you pay the first $500 and Noblr pays the remaining $2,500.

PS: If you have a car loan or you lease your car, then your lender/leasor most likely requires you to buy Comp & Collision coverage.

Collision Coverage

Collision coverage can pay for repairs to your car if it is damaged in a collision or if your car rolls over. Your Collision “deductible” is the amount you have to pay towards repairs when coverage kicks in. In order to get Collision coverage you must have Comprehensive coverage.

Rental Car Coverage Limits

Rental car coverage helps pay for a car rental when you are unable to drive your car due to a covered loss such as an accident, vandalism, or theft.

Roadside Assistance

We all need a hand from time to time. That’s why Noblr policies include roadside assistance coverage to help you out if you need a tow, jump start, are locked out, or need a tire change. Roadside Assistance may be used up to 3 times per covered car every 6 months, subject to policy terms and limitations.

Bodily Injury Limits

Bodily Injury coverage or “BI” (as the insurance nerds call it) kicks in if another person is injured in an accident that you caused. If you are found at-fault for the accident, then BI can cover the medical costs for the injuries and your legal defense if you are sued for damages. That usually means hospital bills and legal fees.
The “limits” you see here refer to the most that Noblr will cover “per person” and overall for a single “occurrence” when your policy kicks in. In other words, that is the amount of coverage you’re buying.

Property Damage Limit

Property Damage or “PD” covers you when you damage someone else’s property in an accident: think fences, telephone poles, guard rails, etc. If Noblr finds that you are at fault for an accident that causes property damage, then PD can pay for the costs to repair that damage.

Disclaimer: The amount and extent of coverage will vary depending on which choices you make.
